Home Solar+Storage Focus: Smart application trends and tech in EMEA

Solar+storage has a transformative ability that takes the shift we’ve seen in solar’s uptake around the world even further. The pairing has been called the greatest couple in the energy transition, through low generation cost and storage versatility. And, the return on investment for consumers is improving through outright cost reductions, and due to currently soaring energy prices, the market is blossoming. Policymakers need to pay attention, but households should be more aware of both the ease of installation and increasing benefits across smart homes and EVs.

In this pv magazine Webinar, home storage and its opportunities, challenges, and future are set to be discussed, dissected, and evaluated. GoodWe’s Managing Director EMEA, Thomas Haering, will offer insights from the perspective of a big player in storage.

Ali Bouattour, Technical Director EMEA at GoodWe, will go more into detail and discuss the doors of opportunity batteries have opened for other technologies in the home. In his presentation, Bouattour will showcase examples of versatile applications of home batteries and their synergies with other technologies, such as EV charging, new solar panel technologies, and heating. He will also discuss how to dimension your storage to get the best outcomes.

We have also invited Longi to reflect on trends of module technology and how module reliability affects energy storage systems.

The second half of the webinar will feature a panel discussion crossing international solar markets. Joining us will be distributors from across EMEA to discuss technology, demand, challenges, and offer different perspectives, including.

  • VP Solar – Italy and southern Europe
  • Memodo – Germany
  • Rubicon – South Africa
  • Natec – Belgium

These leading distributors will pass on developments in their respective regions in an open discussion. The moderated panel aims to facilitate a better understanding of the best ideas, technology, and trends in solar+storage. Question and answer sessions will also take place.

We encourage you to take part in the discussion and ask questions, which can be submitted beforehand or through a chat window during the webinar. pv magazine Global editors Marija Maisch and Tristan Rayner will be the moderators of this webinar.

Registration for this pv magazine is free of charge.
