Dr. Gang Xiong has more than 20 years of experience in solar industry including 19 years at First Solar. He has successfully led multiple projects from early-stage R&D to high-volume manufacturing. Dr. Xiong’s team have established multiple cell and module efficiency records on CdTe solar cells. He is also one of the pioneers of perovskite industrial research and scaling. Dr. Xiong is currently the SVP of Vital Materials, a global leader in materials technology that can supply BOM and manufacture equipment in high quality to PV industry. He is also an adjunct professor at UNSW School of PV and Renewable Energy Engineering.
