Dominican Republic to introduce grid usage fee for distributed PV
Dominican Republic utility Edesur will introduce a new grid usage charge for certain solar net metering customers from Nov. 1, 2026. The charge will apply to electricity exported to the grid, although questions remain over which existing contracts will be affected.
Mexico reports 6.86 GW of solar PV projects in development pipeline

El Salvador announces 400 MW solar, 1 GWh battery storage push
Cox plans to develop up to 400 MW of solar capacity and 1 GWh of battery storage in El Salvador under an investment agreement that also covers natural gas infrastructure and water management. The government will participate as a partner in the energy projects.
