ANIE Rinnovabili organizes several conferences at the KEY ENERGY fair in Rimini, Italy

Share

Among the many organized at KEY ENERGY the conferences of ANIE Rinnovabili focus on the role of the renewable energy community in order to achieve the 2030 targets, in which will participate representatives of Solarpower Europe, the Authority for Energy, the Italian Senate and by ANIE, on the subject of regulatory developments for participation in the dispatching services market through the case histories of aggregators of consumption units, high-efficiency cogeneration units and RES plants, and finally on the evolution of operators that manage photovoltaic plants with the advent of PPA, blockchain and IoT in the energy sector. Other two conferences are planned on the smart grid and the digital building.

RES 2030 TARGET: GROWTH PROSPECTS FOR PHOTOVOLTAIC PLANT OPERATORS

Reaching the ambitions renewable energy targets set for  2030 will require a strategy that not only promotes the expansion of our photovoltaic capacity but also enhances and protects the existing stock. The conference will offer the various actors in the entire value chain an opportunity to compare notes on how coming technologies and best practices will shape the design of the plants of the future. It will also consider the technological advances set to reconfigure the management, maintenance and security protocols used for the solar power facilities of today and tomorrow.

THE EVOLUTION OF SMART NETWORKS

The discussion will be opened by a presentation from an electricity distribution company. The conference participants will be looking at the latest innovations in smart grid management, giving presentations of technological solutions, such as electrochemical storage systems and power generation from renewable sources.

ANIE Energia will present the results of a White Paper on smart grids co-authored with RSE. The presentation of the paper will provide an appropriate occasion to propose a cost-benefit analysis of the technology use in order to make smarter the electricity grid.

The final talk will be on the technical and legislative frameworks currently under discussion at the European level.

OPPORTUNITIES AND PROSPECTS FOR TRIALS OF ELECTRICITY DISPATCHING AGGREGATORS

Since the first ARERA – the italian Energy Authority – round of discussions on 9 June 2016, many further initiatives have taken place to encourage consumers and renewable-energy producers to combine their forces and operate as aggregators in the electricity dispatching market. After almost two years, it is time to take a stock of the situation, share information, analyse the results of Terna’s trials and evaluate possible new experiments in the field.

THE ROLE OF ENERGY COMMUNITIES IN ENERGY TRANSITION

Energy transition is proceeding at a fast pace in Europe. One of the many developments that are now under discussion is the Clean Energy Package, the aim of which is to encourage the formation of energy communities so that customers, whether self-consumers or producers of renewable energy, may play an active role in the transition of the industry. Beginning from the European context, the conference talk will analyse national laws, discuss what constitutes an energy community, and consider the possible impediments to the successful proliferation of energy communities.
