POWEROAD participated in Poland’s 13th National Days of Integrated Fire Safety Systems, one of the country’s important technical events for the fire safety industry. The event brought together fire protection experts, system integrators, technology providers, and industry professionals to exchange insights on integrated safety solutions, building protection systems, cybersecurity, and the future of intelligent facility management.

Integrating ESS with Building and Energy Management Systems

During the event, Jacek Serwin, Market Development Manager, Eastern Europe at POWEROAD, shared insights into the integration of energy storage systems (ESS) with Building Management Systems (BMS).

His presentation focused on how Energy Management Systems (EMS) can serve as a centralized platform for monitoring, managing, and optimizing energy assets. Key topics included ESS integration with other control systems, intelligent ESS operation, EMS cybersecurity, and secure local control capabilities.

As BESS applications expand into more complex commercial and industrial environments, seamless communication between ESS, EMS, BMS, and safety systems is becoming increasingly important. Secure and coordinated system integration helps improve operational reliability while supporting safer energy storage deployment.

Proven Safety Performance of POWEROAD FLEX 261 Series The event also highlighted the safety performance of POWEROAD’s FLEX 261 Series, including FLEX 261, FLEX 261 AIO, and FLEX 261 AIO-3S.

The series has successfully passed a Large-Scale Fire Test (LSFT) conducted in accordance with both CSA/ANSI C800:2025 and ANSI/CAN/UL 9540A:2026 Sixth Edition.

Under demanding large-scale fire test conditions, the test results demonstrated no fire propagation between adjacent cabinets, providing important technical evidence supporting safer deployment of C&I energy storage systems.

The test was designed to evaluate system-level fire performance under challenging conditions, reflecting the importance of comprehensive safety validation for modern BESS applications.

Building Safer and Smarter Energy Storage Solutions

For commercial and industrial customers, energy storage safety is not only about preventing incidents — it is also about ensuring reliable operation throughout the system lifecycle.

By combining proven safety performance with intelligent system integration capabilities, POWEROAD FLEX 261 Series is designed to support safer, more flexible, and smarter energy storage applications across diverse C&I environments.

Through participation in industry events such as Poland’s National Days of Integrated Fire Safety Systems, POWEROAD continues to engage with fire safety experts, automation partners, and energy professionals to advance safer energy storage solutions for the global energy transition.
