Representing South Korea as a top renewable energy firm, HD Hyundai Energy Solutions will launch its new N-TOPCon modules designed for the U.S. market at the exhibition this year. The company will showcase a variety of new products, including residential 108-cell modules based on the latest TOPCon technology, as well as commercial and utility scale modules in in 144-cell and 156-cell configurations.
The new modules, which use N-type wafers, boast high efficiencies ranging from 22.3% to 22.9%. According to the company, these modules are highly competitive in terms of initial performance, long-term reliability, and durability. They offer low annual efficiency degradation rate over 30 years, which can be expected to yield higher power generation and profits in the long term. The company also highlights that these modules provide superior durability compared to existing and competitive products under various weather conditions.
In addition, HD Hyundai Energy Solutions will present its cutting-edge tandem cells and RoHS-certified eco-friendly products. The tandem cells, co-developed by Hyundai with the Korea Institute of Chemical Technology, combine perovskite cells and HJT silicon cells, achieving a theoretical efficiency limit of 44%, significantly surpassing the 29% efficiency limit of crystalline solar cells.
Furthermore, HD Hyundai Energy Solutions will be jointly exhibiting with HD Hyundai Electric to introduce power equipment essential for transmission and distribution.
They plan to showcase comprehensive solutions needed for the U.S. renewable energy industry. This joint exhibition is particularly meaningful as the transition to clean energy in the U.S. requires not only the expansion of renewable energy but also the development of new power infrastructure.
