ATW launches 1.3 GW encapsulation turnkey solution for heterojunction solar modules
Wuxi Autowell (ATW) has launched a 1.3 GW fully integrated intelligent heterojunction (HJT) module encapsulation line built around 0BB stringing, automated layup, and energy-efficient lamination. The system targets lower-cost, low-stress HJT production by reducing silver use, enabling low-temperature interconnection, and integrating AGV-driven automation with data-based process and lifecycle support.

How to power buildings with solar-driven reversible heat pumps, organic Rankine cycle
Researchers in China proposed a solar-driven integrated system that combines reversible heat pump and organic Rankine cycle (ORC) technologies, enabling flexible switching between heating, cooling, and electricity generation for buildings. Simulation results show strong performance dependence on solar irradiance and temperature, with COP rising up to 4.1 and optimal operation achieved at 600–850 W/m² irradiance.
Chinese scientists unveil cable-supported mounting system for large-scale PV on complex terrain
Researchers from Chongqing University and PowerChina developed a two-parallel cable-truss CSPS to improve torsional resistance and wind stability for PV plants on complex terrain. Validated through a 40 m-span numerical study, the design enhances flutter resistance and structural stiffness while optimizing sag and pretension for efficient large-scale deployment.
‘The era of unlimited cheap inventory is ending’
In an interview with pv magazine, Bart Wansink, CEO of Search4Solar, said Europe’s solar module market is moving away from the extreme oversupply that enabled continuous price declines and a “wait-and-buy-cheaper” procurement strategy over the past two years. He added that leaner inventories, more disciplined production, and shifting procurement behaviour suggest a more balanced market where timing and supply security are becoming more important than further price drops.
