Heckert Solar modules successfully pass salt mist corrosion test

Heckert Solar AG has received a certificate from TÜV Rhineland for successfully completing the salt mist corrosion test, according to IEC 61701 / EN 61701 for its photovoltaic (PV) modules, back in April. The company says it is one of the first module manufacturers in the world to gain this certification.

Both the company’s polycrystalline and the mono-crystalline high-performance module ranges passed the test without mistake.
For this demanding test, modules are put out to a salt fog with an inclination relevant for practice of 15° to 30° at a temperature of 35°C ± 2°C for a period of 96 hours. The most frequent reasons to not pass the test are corrosion phenomena in drillings, screw connections and electric connections.
Heckert Solar manufactures a capacity of 90 MWp polycrystalline and mono-crystalline high-performance modules of different dimensions and performance classes for the photovoltaics industry in Chemnitz, Germany.
