KACO renames and relaunches its web-based remote monitoring PV portal

KACO new energy GmbH has redesigned its monitoring portal. It serves operators of PV systems to recognize signs of unexpected yield loss and react quickly. Customers now have an even job of keeping an eye on the performance of their installation at all times, and from anywhere. The redesign is accompanied by a renaming. Formerly Powador-web, the portal is now called blueplanet web.

Free PV system monitoring up to 100 kWp

As before, KACO new energy’s PV system monitoring is available in a fully-fledged ‘pro’ version as well as a free ‘public’ version. What is new is that blueplanet web public comes free of charge for solar arrays up to an output of 100 kWp. The company also plans to integrate an alarm function that automatically highlights irregularities.

Full control with the app

In addition to a modern look that promises enhanced data digest, blueplanet web offers an up-to-date mobile app for iOS and Android. This allows remote monitoring of PV systems both from a desktop computer, and at any time with a tablet or smartphone while on the move. After successful registration in the blueplanet web portal, the next step is to download the app free of charge; the login data for the portal then grants access to mobile system monitoring via the app as well.

Blueplanet web pro convinces above all by the possibility it offers for portfolio management. Installers and maintenance services can bundle all their customers’ PV systems in one place. The possibility to personalize the user interface allows important data to be arranged according to individual requirements. Alarms are also part of the pro version – as are performance comparisons and reports.
