The Jurawatt GmbH, a small but innovative company situated in the region of Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, is known for its excellent technology solutions. Just in time for the annual Intersolar trade show Jurawatt presents its latest development: a high-performance solar module that resists extreme heat conditions.

Before its launch the new module had to undergo a strict test program according to IEC / DIN requirements. There it was put through its paces in a series of UV, temperature cycle, humidity freeze and damp heat tests performed over a period of 3000 hours. In the end, the Jurawatt developers could proudly announce that their latest product received top marks for all tested criteria.

A look inside reveals one of the secrets behind the module’s astonishing heat resistance. It is coated with an ultra-thin film offering a very high degree of transparency and translucency which serves as a highly efficient thermally and electrically conductive layer.

The innovative design is complemented by another ultra-thin material: white glass. It enables a dramatically improved heat dissipation which is an essential prerequisite for an efficient heating process. Moreover, a special coating with anti-reflective qualities increases heat transmission and has a water and dirt repellent effect.

The combination of innovative features makes the new module ideally suited for very hot regions with extreme climatic conditions. As a manufacturer of polycrystalline solar modules, Jurawatt’s current total capacity amounts to 45 MW.

The company deliberately focuses on Germany as a base for its manufacturing activities, selecting its suppliers accordingly. Jurawatt’s modern production technology is “Made in Germany” with the stringer, framing, busing and other units being fully automated. Through specialized patents in the field of process engineering the solar expert ensures highest standards of precision.

Since Jurawatt believes in the importance of product development it invests massively in this area. The family company was founded in 2010, closely guarded by the J.v.G. Thoma GmbH with its more than 20 years of experience in the solar sector.

Jurawatt stands for tested quality and a strong sense of responsibility: The company was awarded with the German eco-labels TEC-Umweltsiegel and IEC-Siegel, obtained the CE marking for its products and was tested and certified by the German Association for Technical Inspection, TÜV-Nord.

Jurawatt is a member of the PV Cycle Association. The new solar module will be available as of Q2 2011. Jurawatt GmbH Eggenstr. 17 92318 Neumarkt Tel. 09181 / 509530 www.jurawatt.de info@jurawatt.de Marketing Contact: Birgit Schimpl
