The third line adds on top of Xinyis two existing low-iron solar glass production lines, and combined total capacity will be increased to 1,300ton/day by April 2011.
The successful ignition of the low-iron solar glass production line will further elevate Xinyi Glass's capabilities in its production of specialized high quality glass products for the global market.
The low-iron solar glass production line is designed to produce patterned solar glass with over 91 percent solar transmittance to meet the increasing market demand by Crystalline or CIGS thin film PV module manufacturers.
At the same time, Xinyi Glass is installing two additional new lines, each with melting capacity of 500ton/day for solar glass production in Tianjin and Wuhu, China, which are scheduled to be commissioned in May and June 2011.
By then, Xinyi total solar glass capacity will be increased to 2,300ton/day, and become the major solar glass supplier in solar glass industry.
