?????Even though the government in Ireland has committed to 40% of renewable energy by 2020, the Irish PV market is still dormant. Vikram Solar has recognized the potential at an early stage and put a lot of efforts to understand the customized requirements of the relatively small Irish PV market.

This month, Vikram Solar's partner Coolair has successfully completed the roof-top installation at University College in Dublin making Vikram Solar's Eldora Ultima one of the chosen modules to electrify Ireland’s largest university with over 30,000 students.

This installation is part of an ambitious 150-rooftop-program, already started in County Meath, County Kildare, County Wicklow and County Dublin, currently totalling to more than 10% of the country’s cumulative installed PV capacity.

Prashant Mathur, President – International Sales & Strategic Sourcing, Vikram Solar: "By leaving a footprint in the Irish PV market at this early stage, we can help our customers to develop customized solutions and hence get a competitive advantage as an early entrant. Ireland is the latest addition to our expanding operations in promising markets such as US, Japan, and the MENA region and we expect it to take off in the next couple of years."

"By working hand-in-hand with our customers, we get a clear understanding of the market needs at an early stage. Coolair has provided extremely helpful insights. With our landmark installation on the University College of Dublin, we are encouraging the youth to think about sustainable energy generation. Change through Education – that’s our philosophy in all our markets. We are very positive about the future developments of the Irish PV market," adds Davide Marro, Head of Business Development – Europe, Vikram Solar.
