Germany: Number of solar jobs to double by 2020

The number of solar jobs in Germany is expected to double from 80,000 employees in 2009 to 180,000 in 2020, according to the German Solar Industry Association (BSW-Solar).

A statement issued by Intersolar Europe explained: “The need for workers in the solar industry is continually growing… [It] is fast becoming an important labor market across the world.”
For this reason, Intersolar, in collaboration with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, has said that it is supporting this development by “bringing together employees and employers” at this year’s trade show with the Job & Career Forum.
