Spot market for PV panels: <br> Modules get cheaper

Module prices: The cuts in feed-in tariffs in Germany, Italy, and France have led manufacturers to reduce module prices. Another reason is a surfeit of solar silicon.

In the past few weeks, a number of module manufacturers worldwide have lowered prices in line with the reduction in German feed-in rates that took effect on January 1. In February, crystalline modules from Asia were around five percent less expensive than in December 2009. The average prices of European module manufacturers follow this trend. …
