China: Sky Solar plants in Xinjiang and the Czech Republic

Chinese photovoltaic project developer Sky Solar has connected the first 30 MW of a 200 MW solar park in Xinjiang Province, as well as securing funding for three projects in the Czech Republic.

Phase one of the 200 MW development in Alar City is the largest solar park in the Akesu region of Xinjiang province and the remaining 170 MW is due to come online this year.
Financing for three Czech projects totaling 5.57 MW has been secured from the PPF Bank, part of the PPF Group. It will provide €14.6 million (US$19.8 million) of the €18.9 million total cost of the schemes through a 15-year loan at 5% annual interest.
Sky Solar will develop, operate and own the three Czech operations.
