Italy: Tommaso Angela, an analyst with Prothea, a Milan-based investment firm specialized in renewable energy, gives an overview of the Italian solar market as well as the trends and players in the Italian renewable energy financial market.

The Italian renewable energy market has reached an installed capacity of 49.8 GWp, doubling the 23.9 GWp of 2008. Cumulative production from renewable sources grew to 100 TWh in 2013, representing about 33% of the total Italian energy demand.
