Leclanché acquires storage developer Trineuron

Trineuron has a strong focus on storage solutions for the transport industry and thus strengthens Leclanché’s portfolio in transport applications, namely in providing solutions for electric/hybrid buses, ferries, mining vehicles and AGVs (automated guided vehicles). Trineuron brings to Leclanché a strong customer base especially in AGVs and a significant sales pipeline. With this new acqusition, Leclanché will add a new system development center hiring an additional 10 engineers from Trineuron as well.

The acquisition is in the form of a share deal whereby the company acquires a subsidiary of Emrol against payment of 410,000 Leclanché shares. Trineuron is a business unit of the Belgian company Emrol.

Anil Srivastava, CEO of Leclanché, commented, "By adding the development capability for transport solutions from Trineuron, Leclanché increases its depth as an integrated storage solution provider for industrial applications."

The commercial activities will be integrated within Leclanché ‘s Transport Business Unit, while engineering will be integrated within the System Development Team. Stefan Louis, Managing Director of Trineuron, will be joining the executive committee of Leclanché in the role of Chief Strategy Officer.
