Cleantech Solar, a Singapore-based leading pan-Asia solar energy provider to the C&I space in India and Southeast Asia, has been awarded 27 MW of solar PV capacity in three different Asian countries by three separate customers.

The three PPAs that have been signed with Cleantech Solar state that the firm will provide full turnkey financing, while also taking care of the design, installation, and full-life operation and maintenance of the large-scale rooftop solar PV systems.

Cleantech Solar did not reveal which companies are involved, nor in which countries the solar arrays will be developed. Nevertheless, upon completion of the projects, the firm’s solar PV portfolio will have reached 80 MW, Cleantech Solar said.

“We are delighted that industry leaders in their respective areas have once again chosen Cleantech Solar for their long-term solar requirements,” said company chairman Raju Shukla. “Those three systems will be among the world’s largest rooftop solar projects.

“This not only shows that corporations are increasingly seizing the opportunity of competitive on-site renewable energy but are also embracing the solar-as-a-service model where our strong balance sheet enables us to carry the full capital investment.”

In November, responsAbility and Cleantech Solar signed an agreement for $20 million to finance rooftop solar projects for C&I customers across Southeast Asia and India. Cleantech Solar offers solar-as-a-service solutions by financing, installing, operating and maintaining rooftop solar power plants to corporations in these regions.
