CAB® Solar highlights solar cable hanger solutions for agricultural projects

At The smarter E 2026 in Munich, the company demonstrated its ModulAir® free-air cable hangers for solar projects, as well as its latest 3D locking hangers, which are designed to secure electric cables when used in locations with livestock.

CAB Solar brought its line of cable management products to The smarter E 2026 in Munich, showcasing the company’s patented ModulAir® cable hangers, which offer flexibility for solar PV installations. The company’s hangers enable customers to use smaller cables to save money, and to scale up as needed.

In his interview at the event, John Giffin, Solar Project Manager for CAB Solar, described how the company’s new 3D locking-arm hanger solution is designed specifically for agricultural projects. He said the hanger design ensures safe habitats for animals while preventing the hangers from opening and releasing the cables when bumped by grazing livestock.

Giffin also explained the company’s history and ties with the Cambria County Association of the Blind and Handicapped, noting that the company itself is a non-profit that will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2027. The non-profit’s mission is to employ people with disabilities, manufacturing a variety of product lines, including solar cable hangers.
