DWR eco strengthens international strategy and content team with new hire

DWR eco, leading cleantech communications and strategy agency, announced today that Jonathan Gifford has joined its team, effective September 1. Jonathan has been appointed as a Senior Consultant, Content, and Strategy, at the boutique agency, and will focus on servicing its existing and new clients in a range of capacities.

“We're delighted to bring Jonathan into the DWR eco team, where he will continue to drive the internationalization of our activities right across the cleantech sector,” said DWR eco Founder and Managing Director David Wortmann. “Jonathan has a wealth of communications experience in public broadcasting and the renewables sector and will continue to assist our clients to create compelling content and grow their businesses.”

Previously, Jonathan served as Editor in Chief at pv magazine global, a leading international solar photovoltaic industry publication. Having joined pv magazine in 2011, he was part of the publication's expansion of its digital activities, the launch of a number of industry events, and the continued success of its agenda-setting monthly magazine.

“pv magazine global has been growing over the past years and positioned itself as a global solar and storage sector leader. I am leaving at a time when its position in the sector is well and truly cemented,” said Jonathan. “DWR eco has become a key player in the fast-moving cleantech scene, so I am looking forward to work with its clients, many of whom are true innovators, trend setters, and disruptors.”

Jonathan will be representing DWR eco at the forthcoming Solar Power International trade show, September 11 – 13, in Las Vegas. He will remain associated with pv magazine working on some of the publication's special projects, including events.
