ertex solar awarded the first MCS certificate for building integrated modules

Share

Once again ertex solar leads the market in the development of building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). Specializing in customized, module design and production, the company is the first to hold a certificate in the UK market for BBIPV regulations. The MCS 017 product certification for "bespoke building integrated photovoltaic modules" allows ertex solar’s customers to benefit from the feed-in tariffs (FIT) through the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS).

Thus ertex solar modules now guarantee electrical performance targets for FIT as well as best practice building specification standards with an esthetically pleasing design. In parallel, ertex solar’s certification institute NQA was accredited as the first certifier for MCS 017 by UKAS. Kiwa, a longtime partner of ertex solar was assisting the process.

The first project to benefit from FIT is the Hanover School in Islington/London designed by Rolfe Judd and built by Balfour Beatty. Contact UK Info at: Irene Konschill +44 (0)7766 835948 info.uk@ertex-solar.at
