Ertex solar to invest in new manufacturing plant

In order to meet the high quality expectations and the increasing quantities of building-integrated photovoltaics, ertex solar, at the beginning of August, will have in operation a new station for the soldering of solar cells.

Away from the general turbulence in the photovoltaics industry, this investment was necessary in order to carry out the work needed to meet the tight delivery times of two large orders.

In addition, the new plant ensures that, regular customers as well as project-orientated customers, will continue to receive over the long term the accustomed supply of both quality and quantity.

Working in conjunction with the firm of Somont, the piece from Meyer Burger Technology Group, could in only 10 weeks be constructed to form a plant of the type CERTUS ONE, for the soldering requirements of the rear-contacted high efficient cells from sunpower.

In a further step, the plant at the end of the year is to be extended so that it can also solder standard cells. ertex solar view this step as a further milestone in addition to the numerous certification measures, in order to fulfil the construction industry’s increasingly shorter deadlines for architectural high-quality photovoltaic elements.
