Other Hanwha Q Cells exhibition highlights include a flat roof mounting system and all-black monocrystalline module. Recently acquired by the Korean conglomerate Hanwha Group, Hanwha Q Cells combines the best of German engineering and manufacturing with the financial strength and global reach of one of Korea’s leading business groups.

“The United Kingdom is one of Europe’s key photovoltaic module markets, and we are extremely proud to present our new Q.PRO-G3 at the Ecobuild exhibition,” said Thomas Raadts, Senior Vice President of Hanwha Q Cells. “This newest addition to our product portfolio demonstrates the superior quality of Q Cells modules by ensuring maximum energy output for our customers. We are also very pleased to introduce our mounting system for flat roofs, and are confident it will be as successful in United Kingdom as it has been in the German market.”

Improved performance and extended warranties

The new polycrystalline module features high performance cells based on Q.ANTUM technology, which generates higher module power. Q.ANTUM utilizes dielectric cell back side reflecting light waves which have passed through the cell, thus enabling the use of otherwise lost light energy. The module’s new high-quality anti-reflection glass further boosts power yields to facilitate polycrystalline solar modules with power classes of up to 265 Wp.

In addition to these new technologies, Q Cells solar modules offer improved low-light and temperature features. At low-light conditions of 200 W/m², the polycrystalline module can achieve an energy output of at least 97 percent, delivering maximum yields under cloudy conditions. With a temperature coefficient of only -0.43 %/K for Pmpp, Q Cells solar modules provide high-energy output in high temperatures.

Q.PRO-G3’s lighter and slimmer design allows easier handling, and reduces warehousing and logistics costs by up to 29 percent. The new 35 mm frame design features a high-tech aluminum alloy that allows for wind loads of up to 5,400 Pa while reducing module weight to 19 kg. A new junction box and connectors increase module reliability and energy output through improved heat management and stability. Backed by a 12 year product warranty and extended 25 year linear performance warranty, the Q.PRO-G3 offers improved durability and long-lasting quality.

The international roll-out of the new multi-crystalline module will take place during the next three months.

Hanwha Q Cells will also introduce its mounting system for large flat roofs, Q.FLAT-G2, to the U.K. market during the Ecobuild exhibition. Q.FLAT’s main advantage lies in its bi-directional, east-west orientation and high ground cover ratio, which allows optimum roof space utilization. The systems lower installation costs also enable a faster return on investment.

Ideal for the residential segment, the elegant all-black monocrystalline module Q.PEAK BLK-G2, engineered and manufactured in Germany, will also be displayed at the exhibition.

Hanwha Q Cells invites all Ecobuild participants to visit the company’s booth S3010 to learn more about its product portfolio and recent innovations.
