The certificate will enable French customers of Q Cells PV products to get a bonus on the French Feed-in-Tariff of up to 10% with immediate effect. "Our French customers will benefit from a 5 to 10% bonus on the current Feed-in-Tarif in France.

Beyond that the certificate clearly shows that all European customers can fully rely on Q Cells products – engineered and made in Germany and the European Union", says Stephan Maurel, Sales Manager of Hanwha Q Cells for France, Benelux, Switzerland and Africa. Justin Lee, Chief Commercial Officer at Hanwha Q Cells adds: "Given the current uncertainty in European PV markets this is yet another sign that Hanwha Q Cells is the partner of choice when it comes to high quality PV products, secure bankability and reliable partnership."

Certification obligations "fully met"

The certification audit at the company headquarters of Hanwha Q Cells in Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Germany, was carried out by the French certification agency Certisolis on March 12, 2013.

Certolis´ Gisèle Bovo led the certification and comments: "Hanwha Q Cells understood very well how to transfer the specifics of the regulation of January 7, 2013 to its configuration. The company has implemented very effective measures at different levels of the organization thus fully meeting the relevant provisions".

The certificate has become an important lever for all PV manufacturers producing in Europe, after the French Parliament introduced an amendment to the existing feed-in-tariff scheme on January 7, 2013. According to the new regulation PV customers in France can benefit from a bonus for EU made solar cells (5%) and modules (10%).
