On Thursday, May 26, Governor Sandovals New Energy Industry Task Force will convene to consider a number of proposals to overhaul Nevadas energy policies. But with all the jargon, it can be tough to tell why that even matters.
The Task Force is looking at complex issues, but nothing short of the future of Nevadas economy is on the table, said Andy Maggi, director of the Nevada Conservation League.
Fortunately, KNPR and the Desert Companion have a handy primer that explains how the task force works, what its trying to accomplish, the next steps in this process, and why it all matters.

The task force meets on Thursday at 9 a.m. in Las Vegas and Carson City, and is expected to vote on issues that could impact the states renewable energy economy, including the rooftop solar industry, for years or even decades to come.
