Innovative Solar Systems, a large developer of solar farm projects based in Asheville, NC has recently received approvals on a 35MW (AC) solar farm to be built in Maxton, NC. This state of the art solar farm project will incorporate 120,000 solar PV panels on almost 200 acres of farm land. The benefits of this project to the community are many including the addition of jobs and tax base to Robeson County. The solar energy plant will provide enough clean electricity to power about 10,000 homes in that area. Construction on this project will begin just as soon as the contracts are signed with the buyer for this project.
