PV Guangzhou 2010: Solar energy shows to the future

Share

This is the annual industry event for global photovoltaics (PV) enterprises to display products, and trade in South China, say the organisers.

Authorities have estimated that installed capacity of global PV systems will reach 13.6 gigawatts (GW); of this China will see a 29 percent increase in market share.

Guangdong is one of the most developed regions and solar energy resources are relatively rich there, therefore it has an advantage to promote and facilitate the utilization of renewable energy, not only from the point of economic condition, but also from the view of resources condition.

Wang Yang, CPC Central Committee, secretary of the Guangdong Provincial, said the region needs to "vigorously develop solar energy and other new energy to ensure economic growth in Guangdong province".

For this, Guangdong provincial government has decided to accelerate the cultivation and development of new industries, make and carry out the strategic development plan of new industries and establish the strategic new industries technical standard systems, in order to cultivate and develop solar power. Through the organizing committee of PV Guangzhou 2010, the exhibitors of PV Guangzhou 2010 will be given about 80 percent of exhibition fee subsidies. The organizing committee of PV Guangzhou 2010 has also invited well-known enterprises such as Suntech, Yingli, Lingyang, LDK, Trina, Schneider, CSG, Xinyiglass, Golden Glass, Topray and BP Solar to attend the exhibition.

The event will also provide a practical guide on how to carry out the exhibition promotion and the organization of audiences. As of this July 1, 156 companies have already registered to attend this exhibition. Exhibits include the latest global solar pv power generation system, solar cells, solar modules, solar production equipment, solar photovoltaic materials, batteries, building integrated photovoltaic systems, photovoltaic glass and related products.

Because of the solar photovoltaic industry's active participation, the organizing committee of PV Guangzhou 2010 has successfully applied for a second batch of exhibition subsidiaries. This, they believe, will attract more participants to attend the show and expand PV Guangzhou 2010. The organizers will cooperate with 83 domestic solar photovoltaic media partners.

At present, there are about 5762 professional visitors registered, including government representatives, energy sector personnel, investors, enterprise managers, scientific researchers, patent holders and others. There is a high degree of international attention and the overseas participation seeks to boost the conditions of the export oriented PV industry.

The exhibition will be held between August 26 – 28 in Guangzhou, China at the China Import & Export Fair Pazhou Complex.
