Romania: NewDev/EEPro announce construction start of 4 MW plant

The construction works on the joint venture project “Tartasesti” between NewDev Projects GmbH& Co. KG and the bavarian based EEPro GmbH have begun.

The technical construction of the 4 MW project, which is located near Bucharest, is expected to be completed by the end of May 2013.
Development work is also in progress in respect of the expansion stage, during which the performance capacity of the project will be increased to roughly 30 MW.
The expansion stage is expected to be ready for construction by the middle of this year. Romania is currently one of the most promising PV markets in Europe.
Green Certificates, which are allocated to suppliers of renewable energy on the basis of the amount of energy produced, may be traded in legally prescribed price windows.
