The three PV plants acquired, located adjacent to each other, are Bourg d’Hourtin (11.1 MW), La Redoune (12.0 MW) and Gartiou (8.7 MW). The ground-mounted plants were built by the global renewable energy developer, service provider and wholesaler BayWa r.e. in 2017.

Already within the top 10 European PV solar portfolios, these acquisitions expand Sonnedix’s operating capacity to 189 MW in France and more than 750 MW worldwide.

“Our pace of growth in Europe is being mirrored in the Americas and Japan, as we develop, build and acquire assets across our platform,” commented Axel Thiemann, CEO of Sonnedix. “Our continual optimization process means all the assets quickly achieve operational excellence.”

Sonnedix was advised in the acquisition by Linklaters (Legal & Tax) and Wood (Technical).
