Sungrow Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Sungrow Power Supply Co., Ltd., released its new 750/800kW inverter for the US and Canadian markets at Intersolar North America on July 9, 2013.

The CSA certified SG750/800MX’s feature 98.7% peak efficiency (98.5% CEC), 1000V DC input, LVRT, HVRT, FRT, power management, IGBT unit slide-n-swap technology for easy maintenance in harsh outdoor environments, and integrated monitoring, in addition to configurability for 3rd party monitoring and metering. The inverters are available as standalone units, or can be delivered as fully integrated power stations with two inverters, MV transformer, and switch gear on a concrete pad or in a climate controlled container.

"The SG750/800MX inverters represent the culmination of over 10 years and 4GW of experience in the utility PV market, as well as years of market and technology research and development specific to the United States. The feedback we've received this morning has been very positive, both with regards to the features that utilities and developers want and need, and also to the price, which is the most competitive in the United States," said Raymond Wong, Sungrow's VP, who was at the official unveiling on Tuesday.

Coming on the heels of Sungrow Canada's first utility scale project in the US that utilizes ten 500kW inverters last month, Sungrow is expanding its investment and presence in the US.

"The US PV market is expected to double over the next 3 years, and is important to our long term growth strategy," said Mr. Wong. "We will be rolling out additional products in the near future, as well as increasing our presence here."
