Sunworks installs carport at Amtrak station

Sunworks, Inc. a premier provider of high performance solar power solutions for agricultural, commercial, industrial (ACI), public works and residential markets, has celebrated the completion of a 131.34 kW solar carport installation at the Roseville 76 station. A ribbon cutting ceremony took place yesterday at the site’s location in Roseville, California.

Robert Robinson, owner of the station, said: “Mitigating the urban heat island effect and reducing our carbon footprint through the use of clean, renewable energy is an important objective for our company, one I believe is shared by the residents of Roseville. I am excited to unveil this comprehensive solution, designed and deployed by Sunworks, and I believe this can serve as a model for other socially responsible businesses.”

Sunworks’ dedicated, in-house construction team managed engineering, procurement and construction for the project. The ceremony at the Roseville 76 station included representatives from the corporate offices of Phillips 66, as well as Bonnie Gore, Roseville’s Vice-Mayor; Charlie Curry, District Representative to Assemblyman Kevin Kiley; Christine Rydell, Senior District Representative to Senator Jim Nielsen; Cartin Lavin, of California Solar and Storage Association; and senior leadership figures from Sunworks.

Sunworks CEO Chuck Cargile said: “This project is the first solar carport installation for a gas station in the City of Roseville. Over time, we believe these will become commonplace. The project will drive immediate savings for this customer, and clearly demonstrates their commitment to social responsibility and the environment.”
