TÜV Rheinland to hold educational events in October in conjunction with SPI

TÜV Rheinland PTL will hold three educational events in conjunction with the Solar Power International (SPI) taking place in the Las Vegas Convention Center from October 20-23.

Two of TÜV Rheinland’s own events – the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Working Group meeting and a seminar on the latest news in solar component and storage system requirements – will take place on Sunday, October 19, in Las Vegas Marriott Hotel, just a short walk from the Las Vegas Convention Center. TÜV Rheinland will also have a poster presentation during the SPI on Wednesday, October 22.

The ANSI Working Group Meeting

TÜV Rheinland PTL, a Standards Developing Organization (SDO) for the ANSI, is convening a meeting of members and contributors to discuss the following standards under development:

  • TUV-R 71732-01:20XX: Qualification Plus Testing for Photovoltaic (PV) Modules – Test and Sampling Requirements.
  • TUV-R 71733-01:20XX: Quality Management System (QMS) Requirements for PV Manufacturing.
  • TUV-R 71830:20XX: Microinverters and Microconverters – Design Qualification and Type Approval.
  • TUV-R 71731-01:20XX: Simulated Sand and Dust Tests of PV Modules: Part 1 – Soiling Testing for Superstrates.

A Complimentary Seminar and Refreshments

A Poster Presentation on Qualification Plus Testing & QMS for PV-Specific Manufacturing

At the SPI, attendees can learn about the benefits of Qualification Plus module testing and QMS for PV-specific manufacturing during a poster presentation by Dr. Govindasamy Tamizhmani, TÜV Rheinland PTL President, on Wednesday, October 22, from 4:30-6 p.m., at booth #5100 in the Upper Level Exhibit Hall.
