Westpak annonces atonometrics UV chamber qualification

Westpak, Inc., announces that the UV exposure chamber developed and manufactured by Atonometrics has been successfully installed and has passed its rigorous internal qualification processes.

The new UL simulator allows preconditioning and exposure testing of PV/CPV modules per IEC 61215, IEC 61646, IEC 62108 and IEC 61730-2. This unique UV exposure chamber produces both UVB (280 nm – 320nm) and UVA (320 nm – 400nm) light using fluorescent lamps.
Two irradiance planes measuring 82 in x 67 in (2.1m x 1.7m) can be exposed simultaneously for a more efficient test process. Modules under test can be controlled to a temperature of 60 deg C +/-5 deg C.
Westpak’s president and CEO Herb Schueneman commented: “I am pleased with the Atonometrics UV chamber. This equipment is a vital part of our new solar test lab, and the level of knowledge and support provided by Atonometrics during our qualification process has been impressive.”
