Yingli Green Energy updates guidance for second quarter 2011

Yingli Green Energy Holding Company Limited, which markets its products under the brand “Yingli Solar,” today updated its guidance for the second quarter of 2011.

Based upon preliminary data, the Company now expects its PV module shipments for the second quarter of 2011 to increase by the range of 35 percent to 37 percent quarter over quarter, compared to its previously provided guidance of a more than 30 percent increase in shipments quarter over quarter.
Additionally, the Company reaffirms its previously provided guidance of a low to middle twenties percentage gross margin for the second quarter of 2011.
