Although wind power had the largest share with 165 MW of capacity, solar was able to secure the same number of projects and a total capacity of 104 MW. The Danish Energy Agency had received 17 bids, including 280 MW of solar projects.

EU authorizes Denmark’s scheme for mixed wind-solar auctions

The budget for the first auctions of this kind, for the period 2018-2019, is around €112 million. They are part of Denmark’s new energy strategy, dubbed “Energy for a green Denmark.”

Nord LB finances Danish solar parks

The German bank will provide around €40 million. Part of the money is earmarked for PV projects awarded contracts in the first cross-border tender between Germany and Denmark.
