US: One of Michigan's largest solar energy systems to be installed at Ford factory
Ford, Detroit Edison and Xtreme Power are teaming up to establish what they say is one of Michigan’s largest solar power generation systems and electric vehicle charging stations at Ford’s Michigan Assembly Plant in the U.S. Construction is scheduled to begin later this year.

Hyundai Heavy to build 175 MW solar power plant in U.S.
Hyundai Heavy industries (HHI) has won a USD$700 million contract to build a 175-megawatt (MW) solar power plant in the U.S. from Matinee Energy. By the end of 2012 HHI says it will install two solar power plants in Dragoon and Cochise having 150 MW and 25 MW output respectively. The company adds that it is currently expanding its solar cell and module plant facilities to increase annual production capacity to 600MW.???

Canadian Solar to start production at 200 MW solar panel factory early next year
Canadian Solar Inc. has announced that production will begin at its first solar module manufacturing facility in Canada early next year. Expected to be one of the largest solar panel module manufacturing plants in North America, the new facility will be the companys first feed-in tariff domestic content compliant solar plant in Ontario. It will have a manufacturing capacity of 200 megawatts a year and will employ around 500 people.
U.S.: Contract finalized for what is expected to be worlds largest CPV solar power generation facility
Cogentrix Energy LLC has entered into a contract with Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo), in the U.S. to develop what it says is expected to be the worlds largest concentrating photovoltaics (CPV) solar power generation facility at 30 megawatts (MW).

Sardinia: TerniEnergia and TRP PVE BV to build two PV plants worth 40 million
TerniEnergia has entered into an agreement with TRP PVE BV, an Italian-Chinese joint-venture company, and Milis Energy SPA to build two solar parks in Sardinia, with a total power output of 12 megawatts (MW). The deal is said to be worth 40 million.
New 144-page FIT guide published by U.S. government
A team of researchers at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), funded by the U.S Department of Energys solar technologies program, has released a 144-page renewable energy feed-in tariff (FIT) guide, aimed at helping to improve future policy design.
Conergy completes two more Italian solar power parks
Conergy Italy has announced the completion of two more solar parks in Apulia, Italy, worth a total of 1.5 megawatts (MW). Combined, the company says its six solar parks, which are located in the region, produce over 6,600 megawatt hours of energy for more than 2,100 households, and save around 3,500 tons of carbon dioxide a year.
