Derisking solar projects in the wake of the One Big Beautiful Bill

The One Big Beautiful Bill (OBBB) is redefining the landscape for U.S. solar. The final version brought significant challenges: tighter restrictions on the availability of tax credits and compressed timelines for accessing them.

In this pv magazine Webinar, we will explore how the OBBB is impacting solar project development across the country, drawing on insights from PVcase’s Annual Report on the state of the solar industry. PVcase conducted a recent survey of over 400 solar developers to gain a deeper understanding into why solar projects fail. The OBBB’s rushed deadlines amplify these project risks, including financing, permitting and grid connection. With more complex hurdles in supply-chain compliance, and severe grid-interconnection backlogs and permitting delays, overcoming inefficiencies and bottlenecks are essential to project success.

Attendees will gain insight from the survey as market experts discuss how to overcome these challenges under the new timeline’s urgency.

Miguel Herrero, senior market advisor at PVcase, will share his expertise on the practical implications of OBBB for developers, investors and EPCs, and demonstrate how digital tools are playing a central role in adapting to this new era of U.S. solar growth.

pv magazine Webinar content:

  • Why and when solar projects are most likely to fail.
  • Workflow inefficiencies and bottlenecks that get in the way of project success.
  • A data-backed roadmap and best-practices checklist for developers to overcome these obstacles and ensure project success.
