Frances Scientific and Technical Center for Buildings (CSTB) provided the required certifications for Suntechs Just RoofT module. The Chinese company claims that the module is the best selling BIPV product and that it offers the best durability in this market segment. It also claims to be the first non-European manufacturer to complete this relevant CSTB testing.
The Just RoofT product was first designed by MSK Corporation in Japan. It was released to the market in 1994 with MSK being acquired by Suntech in 2005. Suntech claims that the Just RoofT has a high level of insulation against severe weather conditions and that it can be used in the renovation of old buildings and in new construction. The modules qualify for the French feed-in tariffs (FIT).
