Marubeni completes 29 MW Japanese PV project

The Tomakomai Yufutsu Mega-solar Power Plant commenced commercial operation this month. Located on around 48 hectares of rented land in Yufutsu-Numanohata, the project will receive remuneration for 20 years under Japan’s FIT scheme.

Overall, Marubeni owns 10 large-scale solar projects totaling around 200 MW in its home country, including the 82 MW plant in the city of Oita, completed this April and the 52.5 MW plant in Soma City, which is scheduled to begin commercial operation in June 2017.
