Dutch startup Rable has developed a self-supporting PV mounting system for fragile roofs with slopes of up to 10 degrees, reducing anchor points by 95% compared with conventional systems. The galvanized-steel structure distributes loads of 6 kg/m² to 15 kg/m² and can reduce installation costs by €0.15 ($0.16)/W, according to the company.

Heliup offers lightweight rooftop PV modules with waterproofing membrane
French lightweight solar panel manufacturer Heliup has partnered with Holcim’s Elevate brand to launch Solar Light TPO, a rooftop PV system that combines lightweight solar modules with a waterproofing membrane. The solution is designed for roofs with limited load-bearing capacity.

France extends tax credit for cleantech industry for 3 years
France is extending its C3IV green industry tax credit to support investment across the battery, wind, solar and heat pump value chains, as part of its reindustrialization strategy. The extension is expected to support around 40 projects by 2030.
