JinkoSolar teams up with Pakistan Renowned Energy Training Institute (ETRC

ETRC is an approved Professional Engineering Body of Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and is licensed from PEC for conducting CPD (Continuous Professional Development), a series of professional development courses designed for engineers in Pakistan.

Energy Training and Research center (ETRC) is a not-for-profit organization that emerged out of the merger of already well-established Energy Training Center and PRENAC in order to have one integrated platform with the addition of research area to enhance its capacity toward full energy training and research portfolio. Energy training focus will be toward green, clean, and fossil-free energy, and research focus will be on energy policy, regulations, markets, and standards.

The training Journey started from the set-up of the first Renewable Academy PRENAC in 2015 and its first center was established in Islamabad and then moved to Lahore. Now ETRC is a fully equipped Training and research center with a focus on employment generation through skill development in Energy Center.

JinkoSolar, as the world-leading module manufacturer, has enhanced its CSR efforts to contribute to the development of the solar industry increasing job opportunities in Pakistan. By providing professional technical support and training, JinkoSolar, together with ETRC, aims to cultivate talents with an excellent understanding of solar energy equipment. By promoting the green energy transition, JinkoSolar provides optimized solutions to both the residential market and utility projects, to bring lower-cost energy to people’s daily life.

After four years of its operation, on February 28, 2019 the Center was Inaugurated by JinkoSolar Head of Asia Operations, Ms. Anita Li.

To continue the mission of industry training, in 2020 JinkoSolar Country Manager Rana Farhan conducted trainings for more than 30 industry professionals from the ETRC platform. The Centre is offering energy training courses, especially in renewable energy to engineers, technologists as well as non-engineers. ETRC is run by the board of Directors, and Engr. Faiz Bhutta, the CEO of Energy Training and Research Center, is Solar PV Expert, a famous trainer, speaker, and consultant in the area of Renewable Energy and Energy Management. Faiz Bhutta said, “We really appreciate the support from JinkoSolar. The effort they have done to support the local development of solar energy will never be forgotten.”
