Power-One presents new inverters for the UK market at Ecobuild

The company will introduce its new AURORA PVI-6.0-TL and AURORA PVI-8.0-TL at the trade show, along with the AURORA MICRO-0.25-I and AURORA MICRO-0.3-I micro-inverters as well as the AURORA CDD monitoring device. The company will also display its AURORA UNO single-phase inverters and the AURORA TRIO three-phase string inverters.

“Ecobuild is an important event to build on our success in the UK market,” said David Lowen, Director of Sales for Western Europe Renewable Energy at Power-One. “As both our residential as well as our commercial products generated a high demand in the last months, we are optimistic about the future development of the UK market and are therefore expecting three busy days at Ecobuild.”

AURORA PVI-6.0-TL and AURORA PVI-8.0-TL

These two new products are Power-One’s smallest three-phase string inverters featuring an output of 6 kW and 8 kW respectively, thereby making them the perfect solution for the average residential installation. Benefiting from Power-One’s innovative technology, which has been perfected in the transformerless AURORA PVI-10.0/12.5 inverters, the new models offer high efficiency values of up to 97.6 percent.

With two independent MPPT channels, a wide input voltage range and a robust IP 65 outdoor enclosure, the AURORA PVI-6.0-TL and PVI-8.0-TL can be deployed in different installation conditions, thereby offering customers the high level of design and installation flexibility they are used to. To further increase the product lifecycle and long-term reliability, Power-One used electrolyte-free DC/AC conversion units with three-phase bridge technology.

AURORA MICRO-0.25-I and AURORA MICRO-0.3-I

Power-One’s micro-inverters are the perfect solution for property owners, who can only deploy a small number of solar modules on their roof, but would like to benefit from the Green Deal Scheme nevertheless: they help plant operators regardless of the size of the PV installation to achieve maximal results.

“The major advantage of the AURORA MICRO-0.25-I and AURORA MICRO-0.3-I micro-inverters is that they create optimal conditions for every single PV module, thereby maximizing the energy harvesting for the entire installation. Especially systems in challenging conditions such as partial or temporary shading, panel mismatching or module differential aging benefit from the cost efficient and easily installed micro inverters”, adds David Lowen.

One of the main benefits of the AURORA MICRO inverters is that they offer more design flexibility to installers by eliminating the constraints string sizes, topology or orientation have put on traditional installations. Power-One’s smallest inverters reach a peak performance of up to 96.5 percent, which is one of the best in their class. Electrolyte-free capacitors, a robust IP65 isolation as well as HF isolation increase the product life and guarantee long-term reliability. By linking the AURORA MICRO module inverters to the internet with Power-One’s AURORA CDD monitoring devices, plant operators or owners can monitor the energy harvest produced by an individual module or the entire installation easily and quickly.

At Ecobuild, visitors also have the opportunity to meet with Power-One’s experts for micro-inverters, large-scale installations, as well as customer services.
