NorrWatt AB, a leading Swedish supplier of battery storage solutions with strong regional roots in Umeå, has grown into a national player, providing tailored solutions from commercial installations to large-scale battery parks. By combining Vilion’s EnerCube containerized BESS with NorrWatt’s expertise in grid services, the BESS project enhances system performance, optimizes frequency regulation, and improves operational efficiency—supporting Europe’s transition toward a more stable and renewable-powered grid.
The project includes six EnerCube units (totaling 6MW/13.5MWh), which will be deployed in Sweden for grid frequency regulation. The FAT was conducted at Vilion’s Guangdong facility with active participation from the NorrWatt team, including system inspection, charge and discharge performance validation, dynamic response testing, emergency shutdown, and safety system verification. All systems performed reliably, and the FAT was completed ahead of schedule, reflecting strong technical alignment and mutual trust between the two parties.
Following the successful FAT, the EnerCube systems will be shipped to Umeå, Sweden, where they will play a key role in supporting grid frequency regulation.
