Jonathan Gifford, Editor in Chief Global, pv magazine group

While overseeing pv magazine‘s Australian website, Jonathan also reports on equipment supply, thin film and Australasia for the global print edition and online. With a background in broadcast journalism for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Deutsche Welle and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Jonathan has been reporting on environmental and technology issues since 2005. He has been with pv magazine since 2011.

Subrahmanyam Pulipaka, CEO, National Solar Energy Federation of India

Subrahmanyam Pulipaka is the Chief Executive Officer of National Solar Energy Federation of India. He is one of the youngest winners of BRICS young scientist award 2018. A well known speaker at various solar and renewable energy events in India, Pulipaka has represented India in various scientific and technology platforms worldwide including the United States, China, Russia and Rwanda. With a research background in reliability of solar PV modules, he has published around 15 research articles in internationally acclaimed journals. He is also the founding Chairman of India Africa Youth Energy Forum, a platform dedicated to nurture future energy leaders in the Indian subcontinent and African continent.

Monika Rathi, Head Business Development - EPC India & SEA markets, Mahindra

Monika Rathi is the Head Business development – Utility Solar for Mahindra Susten. A technology savvy person with commercial acumen and diverse experience in energy sector, she has 14+ yrs of experience in different businesses within GE and at Mahindra. She has experience ranging from developing next generation technologies for Renewable sector to process excellence to handling the operations and quality for Wind India to Bidding for Solar Projects, Winning through Techno-Commercial Negotiations and Project execution for Solar Projects .

Oakland Fu, Global Business Development Manager, DuPont Photovoltaic and Advanced Materials

Dr. Oakland Fu was appointed global business development manager for DuPont Photovoltaic and Advanced Materials in 2018. He is pushing forward new PV business opportunities and managing new concepts for Tedlar® products. From 2011 to 2014, Oakland led the DuPont Photovoltaic Fluoromaterials China technical team and was involved in developing solar panel backsheet applications and building up the national standard to support greater durability for solar panels. He has conducted extensive research on failure mechanisms of solar panels, especially related to the durability of backsheets, and initiated field studies of large-scale solar farms in China to evaluate long-term materials performance. From 2014 to 2017, he took the role of China marketing manager of DuPont Photovoltaic Fluoromaterials and was active in raising the awareness about the critical role of materials in the solar industry worldwide. He joined DuPont in 2006 and has held a variety of roles in R&D, technical and marketing.

Jitendra Morankar, VP of Global Design Applications, NEXTracker

With close to two decades of engineering experience in the energy industry, Jitendra Morankar serves as Vice President of Global Design Applications at NEXTracker, a Flex Company based in Fremont, California, USA. He works from the Hyderabad, India office and leads solar tracker design, engineering, R&D and Energy Storage teams. He is driving the team to deliver reliable and efficient tracker and energy storage system solutions.

Rajaram Pai, Business Leader, E&I, South Asia and Marketing Manager - PVAM, South Asia & ASEAN, DuPont

Rajaram Pai is the Business Leader, DuPont Electronics & Imaging South Asia and Marketing Manager, DuPont Photovoltaic (PV) Solutions, South Asia & ASEAN. He has extensive experience in the PV industry. Prior to joining DuPont in March 2011, Mr. Pai worked at Moser Baer Solar for over 4 years wherein he worked in senior management positions across Sales & Marketing, Operations and Projects

Jan Mastny, Head of Global Sales, Solar & Wind, LEONI

Jan Mastny heads the global sales assist in solar and wind for Leoni Studer. Jan has been active in the PV industry since 2005, and has worked with leading PV component manufacturers – previously with Onamba Japan and since 2015 with Leoni. He is currently responsible for global sales and market development, and has worked on a range of new projects, in R&D and product management. Jan is involved with a. number of international working groups and task forces. He is a passionate advocate for renewable energy and believes that clean energy is the key to keeping the earth beautiful for future generations.

Olivier Haldi, Global Business Development Alternative Energies Stäubli Electrical Connectors AG

Olivier has been for more than four years with the Swiss-headquartered Stäubli Electrical Connectors (formerly Multi-Contact), which is part of the family-owned Stäubli Group, a technology leader and pioneer in the fields of electrical and fluid connectors, robotics and textile machinery since its foundation in 1892. In 1996 Stäubli introduced the first industrial photovoltaic connector (MC3) followed by the original MC4 in 2002 setting the industry standard ever since. Today more than 260 GW photovoltaic capacity has been successfully con¬nected with Stäubli photovoltaic con¬nectors. In his current role he is in charge of global key account management, market development and leading strategic partnership projects. Before joining Stäubli, Olivier Haldi has gained professional experience in marketing and sales for more than 13 years in the Medical technology industry and he holds a BSc economics from the University of Basel, Switzerland.

George Touloupas, Technology and Quality Director, CEA (Clean Energy Associates)

George Touloupas is the Director of Technology and Quality at the solar PV quality assurance, supply chain management and engineering services firm Clean Energy Associates. At CEA he leads projects centered on developing CEA’s internal quality standards, researching new production technologies, and developing new services. George has an extensive background in PV manufacturing, as well as downstream experience, working among others, prior to joining CEA, as the Chief Operating & Technical Officer at Philadelphia Solar in Jordan and Technical & Operations Director at Recom.

Shantanu Sirsath, Technical Head India, Growatt

Technical background with a demonstrated history of working in the renewables and environment industry. Total experience of 11 years in the field of power electronics , with 7 years dedicated for On Grid Inverter itself. 4.5 years in Refusol Gmbh for Technical Support and 2 years in Polycab India Ltd as Service Head.

Mohamed Hidayathulla, Senior Manager and Business Development Head India, TÜV Rheinland

Mohamed graduated in Bachelors Degree in Industrial Production Engineering from Mysore University in 1993. Later he was moved to Bangalore for his professional carrier in the field of Solar Photovoltaic Manufacturing, Operations and Engineering. Currently he is associated with TUV Rheinland India as Business Development Head and Senior Manger for their Solar activities Pan India. His strong foundation in Solar PV module manufacturing and BoS assembly prior to entering the Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) industry has equipped him with both the depth and breadth of expertise to enable client success for solar manufacturers. He has been associated with TUV Rheinland for the past 8 years, from the inception of the organization’s Solar PV Laboratories in India. As Senior Manager and Business Development Head pan India, he is involved in the complete testing and certification of Solar PV components.
