Still optimistic

Taiwan: The preliminary antidumping tariffs on solar exports to the United States were met with some degree of indignation by Taiwan’s solar industry. But the solar manufacturers presenting their products at PV Taiwan 2014 were confident that the country’s superior quality in PV cell making will eventually carry them through this rough patch.

PV Taiwan 2014 was somewhat smaller than in previous years, both in numbers of exhibitors and visitors. Held from October 22 to 24 in Taipei City, the show featured 150 exhibitors, compared to 160 last year, and saw slightly less than the 8,000 visitors that attended the year before.
