Chinese PV Industry Brief: H1 solar additions total just 72 GW

In other news, Shenzhen Energy’s subsidiary Sunon Asogli Power (Ghana) Ltd. plans to invest $34 million in a 50 MW solar project in Ghana’s Savannah Region, marking the company’s first overseas solar investment. Meanwhile, Dinto Solar secured a 1 GW HJT module supply lot in China Datang Group’s 11 GW PV module framework tender. In China’s upstream market, polysilicon and wafer prices continued to decline amid weak demand, rising inventories, and cautious downstream purchasing, with manufacturers maintaining relatively stable but subdued operating rates.
