The revised standard, effective Jan. 1, 2027, could significantly reduce China’s compliant polysilicon capacity, although the near-term supply impact may be limited because much of the affected capacity is already idle.

In China’s upstream market, polysilicon and wafer prices continued to decline amid weak demand, rising inventories, and cautious downstream purchasing, with manufacturers maintaining relatively stable but subdued operating rates.

World record for highest efficiency of commercial scale thin film solar modules set
