Exploring New Energy Opportunities: WHES at Solar & Storage Live UK 2026

Share

WHES presented its latest residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage solutions, highlighting the company’s growing role in delivering intelligent, full-scenario energy storage applications. Through a combination of advanced technologies, integrated system capabilities, and market-focused innovation, WHES demonstrated its commitment to supporting the evolving energy landscape across Europe.

The UK energy storage market is continuing its strong growth trajectory, supported by both policy incentives and ongoing electricity market reforms. Earlier this year, the UK government introduced the Warm Homes Programme, allocating up to £15 billion to support the adoption of solar PV, battery energy storage systems, heat pumps, and broader energy-efficiency upgrades. At the same time, the rollout of the Market Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS) mechanism is reshaping electricity pricing through half-hourly settlement intervals, creating more dynamic pricing signals and further improving the economic case for both residential and C&I energy storage applications.

Against this evolving market backdrop, WHES continues to align its strategy with the UK’s energy transition and the growing demand for smarter energy management. Through its comprehensive portfolio of residential and C&I storage solutions, combined with the intelligent capabilities of WHES OS, the company is helping customers optimize energy usage, reduce operational costs, enhance energy resilience, and unlock greater long-term value from solar and storage investments.

Commercial & Industrial Energy Storage: Enabling the Low-Carbon Transition

To address the evolving and diverse requirements of the UK market, WHES has developed a comprehensive product portfolio designed to support a wide range of commercial and industrial energy storage applications – from small-scale business operations to large industrial and grid-support scenarios:

PC-mini (29.5-50kW/57-100kWh)

Designed for off-grid and remote applications where power reliability is critical, this solution supports three-phase unbalanced output and seamless on/off-grid switching in under 10 ms, helping ensure uninterrupted operation of essential loads such as medical equipment, agricultural systems, and other mission-critical infrastructure. With support for 200% PV oversizing and four MPPT channels, the system is optimized for variable solar generation conditions, including low-light and challenging weather environments common across parts of Europe. Its compact footprint of just 0.86 m² also enables flexible installation across rooftops, courtyards, and industrial facilities.

PC-G1 (100kW/233kWh)

Already deployed across multiple international markets, this mature solution has obtained a range of globally recognized certifications, including cabinet-level UL9540A, UN38.3, EN 50549, and IEC 62933. The system has demonstrated reliable performance across diverse and demanding environments – from the harsh winter conditions of Northern Europe to tropical island applications in Africa – supporting use cases such as peak shaving, energy shifting, demand response, and flexible capacity expansion.

PC-G2 (62.5–250kW / 500kWh)

Designed for large-scale and complex energy storage applications, this solution is certified in accordance with VDE-AR-N 4110 requirements for grid integration. Featuring 306 Ah long-cycle-life battery cells, the system supports flexible 2–8 hour duration configurations and scalable parallel expansion up to 1.5 MW / 3 MWh, enabling adaptation to a wide range of project requirements.

The solution integrates WHES’s self-developed high-efficiency PCS technology alongside a wall-mounted liquid cooling architecture with automatic coolant injection, simplifying operation and maintenance procedures while improving system reliability. With operating noise levels below 65 dB, the system is also well suited for deployment across industrial sites, commercial zones, and other environments where low-noise operation is essential.

All of these solutions are integrated with WHES OS, the company’s intelligent energy management platform designed to optimize energy performance across diverse applications. Adapted to the UK’s evolving Market Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS) framework, WHES OS leverages AI-driven algorithms and real-time data analytics to monitor electricity price fluctuations, forecast PV generation, and anticipate load demand changes with high precision. Based on these insights, the system dynamically optimizes charging and discharging strategies – charging during low-price periods and discharging during peak-price intervals to maximize energy cost savings and arbitrage opportunities. Beyond energy optimization, WHES OS also supports a wide range of advanced functionalities, including demand response, demand control, dynamic capacity expansion, solar-storage-charging coordination, and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) integration. By enabling more intelligent and proactive energy management, the platform helps businesses improve operational efficiency, reduce electricity costs, and unlock additional value from their energy assets.

Residential Energy Storage: Enabling Smart Home Energy

WHES also showcased its comprehensive residential energy storage portfolio, presenting integrated solutions designed to help UK households enhance energy independence, optimize self-consumption, and achieve greater long-term energy savings:

PP-S2 (3.6-10kW/ 4.99-19.9kWh) Single-Phase Residential All-in-One Energy Storage System

Designed to meet the growing demand for energy independence and flexible residential applications across the UK and Europe, the system supports 50 A ultra-fast charge and discharge capability alongside 16 A single-string PV input performance. With reliable operation in temperatures as low as –20°C, it is well suited for a wide range of residential environments and climate conditions.

PP-T1 (5-13kW/ 9.98-29.9kWh) Three-Phase Residential All-in-One Energy Storage System

Designed in compliance with international grid requirements and global safety standards, the system supports up to 200% PV oversizing and integrates an FSS aerosol fire suppression system for enhanced safety protection. It also delivers 110% three-phase unbalanced output and enables seamless on/off-grid switching in under 10 ms, ensuring reliable backup performance during grid interruptions.

With a streamlined and installer-friendly design, the solution enables fast and efficient deployment, helping to significantly reduce installation time and labor costs — an important advantage in markets such as the UK.

Battery Box High-Voltage Stackable Battery + Hybrid Inverter Three-Phase Hybrid Inverter + EV Charger

Featuring high energy density and long cycle life, the Battery Box offers flexible and scalable capacity expansion to meet varying household energy needs. Combined with the 5–13 kW three-phase hybrid inverter series and 7–11 kW EV charger, the solution enables a fully integrated home solar-storage-charging ecosystem designed to support smarter and more efficient residential energy management.

ECOS

WHES OS serves as an intelligent home energy management platform, enabling users to monitor real-time power generation, energy storage status, household consumption, and EV charging directly through a mobile application. Through the WHES AI+ functionality, the platform can connect with UK Virtual Power Plant (VPP) networks, enabling intelligent charging and discharging strategies based on real-time electricity pricing signals. By automatically optimizing energy usage and storage operation, WHES OS helps homeowners reduce electricity costs, maximize the value of their energy assets, and achieve a more autonomous and intelligent approach to home energy management.
