Scalable, intelligent energy management for U.S. homes and businesses

More frequent power outages, combined with climate related catastrophic weather events, and ever escalating electricity rates, are increasingly driving adoption of distributed customer-sited energy storage systems (ESS) for home and business owners seeking resilience. Given that consumers’ energy needs change over time, energy storage systems need to dynamically evolve over the life of an ESS. In this pv magazine Spotlight, SimpliPhi Power’s experts will introduce us to the company’s recently launched SimpliPHI ESS.

In other words, best-in-class ESS need to be capable of addressing consumer’s changing load requirements while also delivering savings on electricity bills and ensuring energy security. This is best done by vertically integrated energy storage systems that scale both power output and energy capacity independently, with a software platform that intelligently monitors and controls the system for optimal performance

As a leading manufacturer in the US energy storage market, California based SimpliPhi Power (which was acquired by Briggs & Stratton in late 2021) continues to leverage over a decade of innovation designing and integrating robust, scalable and highly efficient ESS the residential and commercial markets. This gives us more than enough reason to hear from two of the most inspiring women in the industry today.

In this pv magazine Spotlight, SimpliPhi Power’s Catherine Von Burg, President and CEO, and Sequoya Cross, COO, will introduce us to the company’s recently launched SimpliPHI ESS.

The company developed this vertically integrated solution with the installer and end user in mind to be dynamically responsive while independently scaling power and capacity. The modular system starts with three core components, a 6 kW inverter, 4.9 kWh battery, and a proprietary monitoring system EnergyTrak. Rather than being boxed into a pre-configured system, separate components allow installers and homeowners to size the system specific to their energy and power needs. For example, a smaller battery bank can be managed for minimal essential load backup and Time-of-Use (TOU) while additional batteries can be added later for multiple days of outages, or additional inverters can be added for higher electrical loads and whole home back-up.

Join us in this pv magazine Spotlight for an in-depth look at a solution that aims to empower customers to store, manage and control energy with the goal of achieving critical power security and daily cost savings.
