In this webinar, we’ll hear how AI data center developers and operators can use battery energy storage systems (BESS) to address the power-quality and grid-connection challenges created by AI training workloads, and how hybrid lithium-supercapacitor architectures, grid-forming inverters, and immersion cooling are being applied to keep hyperscale AI facilities powered, stable and safe.

About

AI data center (AIDC) power demand is growing faster than grid infrastructure can keep pace with. Millisecond-level load swings from GPU training clusters are pushing traditional power distribution architectures and grid-balancing mechanisms beyond their design limits, while transformer shortages and multi-year interconnection queues are adding further pressure on developers.

In this pv magazine Webinar we are joined by RelyEZ Energy to discuss the company’s approach to energy storage for AI data centers, covering retrofit strategies for existing facilities as well as purpose-built architectures for new AIDC campuses.

RelyEZ’s technical team will walk through the engineering principles behind its power supply, grid interaction, and energy storage technology stack, including hybrid lithium-battery and supercapacitor systems, grid-forming battery energy storage, and immersion-cooled BESS design.

We will also look at how these technologies combine to support backup power, peak shaving, and grid-services revenue for data center operators and asset owners.

pv magazine Webinar content:

  • The power-supply challenges created by surging AI computing demand
  • Retrofit strategies for existing data centers vs. architectures for new AIDC builds
  • Hybrid lithium-battery and supercapacitor BESS for millisecond-level power response
  • Grid-forming energy storage and its role in AIDC grid stability
  • Immersion cooling for battery safety, lifespan and efficiency
  • Q&A

What you will learn:

  • The engineering principles behind RelyEZ’s approach to hybrid, high-response BESS for AI data centers
  • How hybrid battery-supercapacitor and grid-forming technologies address millisecond-scale load fluctuations
  • Practical considerations for data center developers, operators and facility managers evaluating BESS retrofit or new-build options
