Heliene debuts 410 W all-black PERC module for residential, light commercial PV

Established in 2010, the Tier 1 manufacturer produces modules across its highly automated, ISO 9001 certified footprint. The localized North American capacity enables developers to meet procurement benchmarks, including the Domestic Content Bonus incentives under the Inflation Reduction Act.
The new monofacial module utilizes 108 half-cut, M10-sized monocrystalline PERC cells. By deploying a half-cut cell design alongside a split junction box configuration, Heliene limits cell-to-module power losses and improves micro-shading performance. Under Standard Test Conditions, the module series spans seven power classes ranging from 380 W to 410 W.
The module efficiency reaches 21.0% for the 410 W variant and drops down to 19.46% for the 380 W base model. Within this range, the open-circuit voltage spans from 36.82 V to 37.77 V, the short-circuit current ranges from 13.42 A to 13.54 A, and the maximum series fuse rating is 30 A across all configurations.
At Nominal Module Operating Temperature conditions, which assume an irradiance of 800 W per square meter at an ambient temperature of 20 C, the flagship 410 W module delivers a maximum power output of 306 W with a maximum power voltage of 30.79 V.
Engineered with residential installation ergonomics in mind, the module is compact and lightweight to ease manual handling on pitched roofs. The physical dimensions measure 1722 mm by 1134 mm by 35 mm, which translates to roughly 67.79 by 44.65 by 1.38 inches. It features a manageable total weight of 21.5 kg, or 47.4 pounds.
The physical build relies on a framed glass-backsheet construction featuring a double-webbed, 15-micron anodized aluminum alloy frame. The front face uses 3.2 mm low-iron, high-transmission PV solar glass coated with an anti-reflective layer to optimize early-morning and late-afternoon energy yield.
The architectural design is built to withstand severe weather events, achieving a certified hail resistance rating capable of enduring impacts from hail up to 55 mm. Mechanically, the front side is rated for a heavy snow load test up to 113 pounds per square foot, or 5400 Pa, while the reverse side supports a wind load of 50 pounds per square foot, or 2400 Pa.
The electrical interface features an IP68-rated junction box equipped with three bypass diodes. It comes standard with 1.2-meter symmetrical 12 AWG output cables terminated with standard Staubli MC4 connectors, though a shorter 0.3-meter option is available for specialized racking layouts.
Heliene protects the product line with a uniform 25-year product warranty alongside a 25-year linear performance guarantee. Long-term asset risk is managed via a strict degradation profile where the modules exhibit a maximum 2% degradation during the initial year of deployment, followed by a strict annual power degradation rate capped at 0.5% for the remaining 24 years.
The temperature coefficient of maximum power is rated at a competitive -0.34% per degree Celsius, securing stable performance in hot climates. The series has achieved UL61215 and UL61730 certifications and holds a Type 1 fire rating. For logistics planning, Heliene ships the product in configurations of 31 pieces per pallet for an 806-piece 40-foot container, or 28 pieces per pallet for a 672-piece 53-foot trailer. Production lines are currently open, said the company.
